en — fate; the thread that leads

i came to hair late.

not by accident — by a long detour through architecture school, a year living near kyoto, and the slow realisation that the things i loved about buildings were really things i loved about material, weight, proportion. about the way a room holds light at four in the afternoon. about decisions that are felt rather than explained.

hair, it turned out, is the same discipline.
